Who - Brimming with ideas and inspiration, this creative day workshop in Sydney will be taught by Cherie Hausler and Sneh Roy.
Cherie Hausler is a food writer, food stylist, product and recipe developer, tea blender, restaurateur, presenter and cookbook author.
An icon in the Barossa food scene, Cherie gained experience on-air with 8 years in the TV industry in Sydney, along with food writing for various magazines, including her own regular vegetarian column in Delicious magazine. In Barossa, her creativity and knowledge manifested in her creating her own range of vegan products for the local Farmer’s Market, running her own plant-based retail store in an old fire station. Cherie also spent 13 years consulting for Maggie Beer; writing, food styling and brand development. Her start-up "All The Things" pioneered artisan, vegan, white mould cheeses, amongst a range of 20 products developed for independent retail channels, food service and national supermarkets. The TV series of the same name was born subsequently and aired on SBS Food and SBS On Demand, and Series 2 aired on 7Plus nationally. Her debut cookbook, "A Plant-based Farmhouse", published by Murdoch Books, is inspired by Cherie's travels and her instinct to host ‘country gatherings’ - bringing people together to share good food and good times.
Sneh Roy is an award-winning food and lifestyle photographer, stylist, recipe developer, designer and creator of the blog - "Cook Republic" and writer of the Substack "Hungry Curious!" Sneh is also the author of the Tasty Express cookbook published by Random House in 2014. She has worked as ELLE Australia's food columnist and most recently as Woolworths ' Food Editor.
She is the founder of the Cook Republic Cooking School, where she conducts hands-on cooking classes based on her 22 years of experience. She also regularly partners with leading Australian food and media personalities to conduct and teach food photography, food styling, visual storytelling and cookbook production via a series of sell-out pop-up workshops. Her work has been published in many leading publications worldwide - Food & Wine Magazine, Huffington Post, Feast Magazine, Delicious Australia, Inside Out Magazine, Where Women Cook, Saveur Mag, Good Food and The Daily Telegraph. She has worked with many leading brands, developing recipes and conducting photoshoots for Uncle Toby's, Coles, Lilydale Chicken, Birch & Waite, Toscano, Monini, Ninja Appliances, David Jones, Sodastream, Nespresso, Masterchef Australia, Vitamix, Campbell's, Lavazza, Tassal Salmon, Gozney and Australian Avocados.
